At the 2018 American Council of Engineering Companies of Minnesota (ACEC/MN) Annual Meeting held on Thursday, May 17, 2018 at the Minneapolis Club in Minneapolis MN, AET’s Building Forensics Assistant Manager, Kim Deibel, PE, was awarded one of the associations top awards, the President’s Award. As per the association, “the award is presented to an individual employed in a member firm that has made a significant contribution to the association and has shown to be a credit to the consulting engineering profession over the past year.”
Alongside her role as Assistant Manager of AET’s Building Forensics division, Ms. Deibel is a dedicated volunteer with ACEC/MN with a passion for mentoring students and future engineers. She has served as chair of the Minnesota Structural Engineers Association (MNSEA) and is a leading member of the association’s workforce development committee. In 2018, she helped coordinate a relationship between ACEC/MN and STEMLink, which has resulted in presentations that are reaching approximately 250 kids annually.
