American Engineering Testing, Inc. (AET) recently welcomed Thomas Lamb, PE, LEED® AP, an engineer with a wealth of knowledge and experience, as a Principal Engineer and Engineering Manager in the company’s regional Duluth office. He joins Eric Edlund, Construction Materials Manager, in leading the office and providing services to the Duluth area. Greg Owens, AET’s Eastern Regional Manager, is excited to have Lamb as a part of his team. “I am thrilled to have Tom join us in Duluth,” said Owens. “With his engineering experience in nearly all of our [AET’s] service lines, PE and LEED® AP certification, and proven commitment to growth, Tom truly is an exciting addition to our team.”
Lamb will be responsible for providing senior geotechnical and materials engineering services and project management in the Duluth office. “My goal is to expand the company’s capabilities in the region and have our office [in Duluth] further reflect the broad capabilities and services that AET offers,” says Lamb. “I look forward to working with clients in the Duluth area.”
Having grown up with a love of construction and engineering, Lamb earned a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Minnesota and now has over 35 years of experience. He has worked across the field of engineering consulting from geotechnical engineering, concrete testing, and building forensics to owner representative services, environmental consulting, and building condition assessments and plans on putting that experience to use as he leads the Duluth engineering team. Lamb is excited to return to the area after spending the beginning of his engineering education at the University of Minnesota Duluth.
Lamb is a registered Professional Engineer in Wisconsin, Minnesota, and Illinois. He also has certification as a LEED® Accredited Professional from Green Building Certification Institute and is an active member of the American Society of Civil Engineers. Lamb can be reached via email at .
