AET Parent Company Announces New Board of Directors

Bob Elliot, Gerard Moulzolf, and Robert Temme were elected to American Consulting Service’s (ACS) board of directors.

American Consulting Services (ACS), the corporate parent of American Engineering Testing, Inc. (AET), recently announced changes to its governing board effective Jan. 1, 2015. These changes include the appointment of three new directors and the stepping down of longtime director Jeff Voyen.

The three new ACS directors – all corporate officers of AET – are listed below:

Vice President Bob Elliott – Recently promoted to manager of AET’s Environmental Technical Services, Elliott is responsible for the management and growth of the firm’s extensive line of environmental technical services, which include soil and ground water sampling, air emissions testing, ambient air monitoring, and other specialized services. One of his most notable contributions to the firm is the development of a “mobile workforce” to serve clients located outside of AET’s traditional geographic service areas. The ACS board welcomes Elliott’s keen insight into business development and key client maintenance.

Vice President Gerard Moulzolf, PG – As the manager of AET’s Petrography, Concrete Technology and Chemistry Services, Moulzolf has a history of promotions within the ACS organization. He first became a corporate officer for AET’s sister corporation American Petrographic Services (APS) in 1999. He held this position until 2006, when he joined the AET team and established a regional office in Bonita Springs, Florida. Within a short period of time, he created a profitable laboratory and significantly broadened AET’s southeastern U.S. client base. His success in bringing in work resulted in a second promotion to vice president of AET. Moulzolf serves on several national technical committees and professional organizations and frequently presents at conferences and professional meetings.

Vice President Robert Temme, PE – Temme was recently promoted to manager of AET’s West Region. Since joining the firm in 1999, his responsibilities have progressively increased to include the management and growth of AET’s West Region. The region’s original offices included Rapid City and and Pierre, South Dakota, followed in 2010 by Sioux Falls, South Dakota, and in 2011 by Williston and Dickinson, North Dakota. Using his office in Rapid City as a home base, Temme and his team have established prospering operations throughout the Bakken.

After 14 years of service on the ACS board, AET Senior Vice President Jeff Voyen has stepped down to focus more on his role as principal client manager of the firm’s Geotechnical Division. “The board is grateful for Mr. Voyen’s years of dedication to ACS’ continued growth and service delivery, and we are pleased to add the expertise of our three new directors,” said Chairman/CEO Terry Swor.

Following these changes, the board now consists of eight company leaders, including three executive members: Swor as chairman/CEO; Daniel Larson, PE, as president; and Robert Krogsgaard as CFO. Continuing directors include Senior Vice President and Director of Geotechnical/Construction David Rettner, PE, and Senior Vice President and Director of Environmental Services Robert Kaiser. Except for the three executive positions, directors serve five-year terms and meet strict criteria for corporate leadership prior to nomination and election.

*As of February 2016 the following changes were announced, Terry Swor is chairman; Daniel Larson, PE, is CEO; and David Rettner, PE, is president, of AET respectively
