The EPA has made changes to compliance regulations for air toxics standards for reciprocating internal combustion engines, such as those used to produce electricity in the manufacturing facilities of Titan Energy.

For Titan Energy, the final step toward meeting the new RICE NESHAP compliance regulations is the EPA Performance test. Through these tests, Titan hoped to demonstrate Carbon Monoxide (CO) reductions to below 23 PPM — a 70 percent reduction of CO, from existing engines emissions.

AET worked with Titan to plan and monitor the installation of specialty catalysts on their generators. After dozens of completed Performance Tests, they are achieving reductions in CO of over 90 percent at 8 PPM CO or less.
