Improving the quality of life and providing a future for AET employees and their families has always been a significant part of the firm's strategic plan. To that end, the professionals of AET know how to pay it forward.
Every year, the firm is a key organization in fundraising efforts for the United Way through payroll deduction and individual and firm donations. To celebrate their goal, the company annually cooks and serves breakfast for all staff. In addition, AET emphasizes area food shelf donations through its involvement with Engineering CEOs of Minnesota and individual efforts. An annual silent auction and activities such as "dunk your CEO" in a dunk tank, fundraising potlucks and bake sales are part of the fun.
Community life and work are closely tied at AET through our talent development plans, in which employees commit to involvement in professional organizations and their communities. Many employees have held executive and committee chair positions in local and national industry associations. All employees are encouraged to join committees and give back to their professions. Scholarships, hosting events, speaking engagements, participating in STEM learning events and even "jail time" bailouts for Muscular Dystrophy are just a sample of the activities in which AET staff choose to make an impact.
We also honor founder Donovan Stormoe's belief in life-long learning within our firm through a perpetuating annual American Council of Engineering Companies of Minnesota (ACEC/MN) Scholarship and through our Donovan Stormoe Training and Development Center, which is consistently open to members of the A/E/C community for professional events.
For the founders of AET, relationships have brought business, but also many lifetime friendships. They are passing on this legacy of involvement and connection to the next generation. Learn more on our News page.
